Market Committees in Haryana were established by able efforts of Late Sir Chhotu Ram. Motto of Market Committee is to provide all facilities to the farmers who bring their agriculture produce in the Mandies and to ensure they get appropriate rate, weight and payment of the agriculture produce. So that suppression of the farmers does not take place. Link roads are constructed linking villages to main road enabling farmer to bring agriculture produce easily up to Mandi, sports stadium are also being constructed. Special Financial Assistance is also provided to the victims who have lost life or got injured during agriculture operation. License is also given who wish to do sale / purchase of agriculture produce. Market Committees are working under direction of Dr. Avatar Singh, IAS Chief Administrator HSAMB Panchkula.Head office of the Marketing Board is in C-6 Sector -6 Panchkula.

Old Mandi Ateli was of the time of PEPSO. It was in approximate 8 acre area. Now it has been de-notified. New grain Market Ateli has been notified vide Haryana Govt. Notification 1429- Agri(1)-2008/16837 dated 15 Jul 2008.

Area of NGM Ateli is approximate 31acre. It is in the opposite of new Bus Stand Ateli on Rewari Narnaul Road approximate 16 km away from Narnaul. Office of Market Committee is also in the NGM Ateli. All basic facilities i.e internal Road, Common Platform, Individual Plat form, Covered Shed, Tube well & Sewerage, Toilet, Electric Towers and Street Light are available in the Mandi. There are four coolersfor water facility. Proposal of one more covered shed and Sulabh Sochalaya has been sent. It is category ‘C’ Mandi having Market Fee below 50 Lac per year. Main crops which are brought in Mandi are Mustered Seed, Wheat, Bajra and Guwar. During financial year 2009-10 Rs.127000/- was distributed under as special financial assistance to the victims during agriculture operation. Presently no case such case is pending.

There are 4 Cat I licenses, 109 Cat II licenses and 9 cat III licenses. There are 119 shops having size 20’x85’ and 42 booths having size 12’x27½’. In NGM Ateli

Sh. Mahabir Prasad H.C.S, S.D.O © Narnaul is the Administrator of this Market Committee since 09 Feb 2010 and Sh. Ashok Kumar is the holding charge of EO-Cum- Secretary since 06 Apr 2009. There is one Accountant, one Mandi Supervisor, 5 Auction Recorders, 7 class four employees.

All efforts are done to achieve motto of Market Committee.


Documents required for availing special financial assistance by victim during agriculture operation:-

The following documents are to be submitted to Market Committee office with in 60 days from the date of accident:-
1.
Claim form which can be obtained from Market Committee office
2.
Two Photo of the victim showing injured portion
3.
Age proof document
4.
A copy of Residence proof/ Ration Card/ Identity proof
5. Medical Certificate by Civil Surgeon
6. Affidavit byclaimant duly attested by 1st class Magistrate that neither he/ she has not received any financial assistance from any other department nor he/ she will receive after getting assistance from Market Committee.
7. Attested copy of F.I.R ( In case of death only)
8. 8 Postmortem Report       (in case of death only)
9. Death certificate (in case of death only)
  Amount of financial assistance:-
1. Cutting of one finger Rs. 5000/-
2.
Cuttingof one part of body
 Rs.20000/-
3.
Cutting of more than one finger
Rs.12000/-
4.
Cutting of two part of body / Permanent serious injury
 Rs.40000/-
5. Death Rs.50000/-
The following documents / fee are required for obtaining license for sale / purchase of agriculture produce in notified area of Market Committee.

Affidavit by applicant on prescribed format duly attested by 1st Class Magistrate
4.
Affidavit by two guarantors who must be licensee of Market Committeeduly attested by 1st Class Magistrate.

7. Proof of the premises he/ she owns or rent deed in case of he/ she does not has his/her own premises.
8. Map of premises.
9. Demand Draft for Rs.100/- for Cat I, Rs.60/-for cat II and Rs.20/-for Cat III license
10. Security deposit of Rs.500/- for cat I Rs.300/- for Cat II and Rs.100/-for cat III
